Glorious blackened doom that deserves to be listened to as a whole. A relatively short runtime (for doom, at least) allows the record to grow on you with repeated listens, each song building then releasing through monstrous doom-soaked riffs and frenzied black metal passages. After one listen, it was fairly evident that this is one of the best metal albums released this year. If this doesn't show up on a ton of year-end lists, I'll be disappointed. A beautiful, melancholic, and haunting release. Independent_Oliphant
